I have decided to run for City Council
as it has become obvious to me that our community is at a crossroads and I think my experience is needed now more than ever! I look forward to facing the challenges that lie ahead.

I have been a part of this community all my life. I was raised here, my family was raised here. I was first elected to the City Council in June, 1994 and subsequently re-elected twice. Prior to serving on the City Council, I was a memeber of the City Planning Commission and the Bijou/Al Tahoe Community Plan Team.

My involvement in the community is multifaceted as I have also served on the governing boards of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency ( TRPA), the California Tahoe Caonservancy and I currently sit on the board at Barton Hospital.

I find my greatest satisfaction with projects that give people pride in the community. Amongst these accomplishments are the planning, financing and construction of the Ice Rink, along with the completion of the new Heavenly Village and Gondola, & the design and construction of the " Welcome to South Lake Tahoe " sign on the south entrance to town near the airport.

I am a 50 year resident of South Lake Tahoe, and my commitment is unwavering- I look forward to facing the challenges that lie ahead.
